FTI Consulting is offering a 12-month internship within its Corporate Finance & Transactions team in Johannesburg. The role provides hands-on experience in financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and business performance analysis. Interns will support senior consultants in assessing the financial health of target companies, preparing due diligence reports, and assisting clients with buy-side and sell-side transactions. This opportunity is ideal for graduates seeking to develop strong analytical, financial, and advisory skills in a dynamic consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze past and projected financial performance of acquisition targets
• Populate and maintain financial databooks and due diligence reports
• Ensure accuracy and quality control in deliverables
• Develop a foundational understanding of business value drivers
• Communicate effectively with senior team members and clients
• Build strong internal and external professional relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Must be available for a 12-month internship (January 2026 – January 2027)
• Previous experience at an audit or consulting firm (advantageous, not required)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• A team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Adaptable to an ever-changing environment
